No group bookings, couples and families only. This is a quiet peaceful site

As cracking Co Durham locations go, Sharpley Camping has surely managed to bag one of the finest spots: this spacious rural site is in a particularly nifty location between Durham (20 minutes’ drive) and the seaside at Seaham (10 minutes). In fact, you can even spot the sea from various points around the site, to whet your appetite for coastal outings.

We are family's and couples site, also pet friendly. We are a peaceful site with quiet times between 10.00pm and 07.00am.

Opening & Closing Dates

We are open from 1st April – 4th September.

Booking information

We require a 25% deposit at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 2 weeks prior to arrival. Bookings made less than 2 weeks from the selected arrival date, will be required to pay the whole holiday balance at the time of booking.

Camping

We have 5 pitches that are suitable for tent and campervans stays. 2 of these pitches have electric hook-up supplied (6 amp).

Camping Pods

Take the fuss out of camping, by staying in our camping pods. We have 2 sizes of pods. Standard and XL. There is space for 2 adults standard pod. There is space for up to 2 adults in the XL with space for 2 children (bedding required). Each pod has its own double bed with mattress. You’ll need all additional bedding and all the normal things you’d take camping. All pods have their own hot tub that can be used for the duration of your stay, along with a fire pit. Pets are accepted in these pods. Get 10% off for 3 or more nights.

Please note there is only a mattress for 2 people in each pod.
